In spite of her trust in semi-unsupervised, Jess's parents agreed to let her accompany them on a rare weekend break. While they had a quiet lunch, Jess was left with some money to watch a film, then instructions for returning to the room and go to bed. Paul felt upset at having to collect Jess from the hotel manager's office mid-evening, after she had been deposited by cinema staff in the hotel management's office before attempting to gatecrash a second film.
